The Vaultek® DSE2i-BK Essential Biometric Smart Station combines quick-access firearm storage with useful nightstand and desktop functions in a discreet, low-profile enclosure. Its auto-opening drawer accommodates one full-size handgun up to 9 inches long, along with a spare magazine, jewelry, small documents, keys, and other personal valuables.
Progressive-formed 18-gauge steel and Vaultek's penetration-resistant design provide dependable protection without making the safe look out of place in a bedroom, office, or RV. The Covert Black finish and functional front clock help the DSE2i blend naturally into the surrounding space.
Authorized users can open the drawer with the high-resolution biometric scanner, the four-button Smart Sense™ keypad, or either manual backup key. Precision ball-bearing twin rails deploy the drawer smoothly and quietly after entry, while the built-in interior light makes protected contents easier to identify at night.
The DSE2i operates locally without Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, smartphone-app setup, or subscription services. Rear USB and USB-C ports provide convenient accessory charging, and the included AC adapter supports normal operation. During an outage, two AAA batteries can provide approximately nine months of backup access.
An included steel security cable allows the safe to be tethered to a stationary object. For a cleaner fixed installation, the separately sold Smart Station desktop mounting plate allows the safe to attach securely while remaining removable only when the drawer is open.
Vaultek® guarantees this safe against defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the original purchase date through an authorized dealer. Verified product registration extends the warranty period to three years.
Coverage applies only to the original purchaser, is nontransferable, and is valid for products purchased and operated in the United States. The warranty excludes abuse, misuse, neglect, modification, accidents, tampering, user-caused damage, and use outside the product's intended purpose.
